Philadelphia, PA
Pool table moving, installation and recovering across Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs.
Here at Philadelphia Pool Table Movers, we understand that the most important part of buying a new or used pool table is ensuring it is moved properly and how well that it is put together. We have set up thousands of pool tables throughout the years and have seen almost everything. Some of the tools that we use to ensure the highest level of quality include a machinist level for accurate leveling, plaster for filling in holes and seams, and composite wood shims that are moisture resistant and don't compress as easily as traditional cedar shims. We proudly serve all of Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
At Philadelphia Pool Table Movers, we specialize in pool table move, pool table setup or installation, and pool table recover. Feel free to give us a call with any questions that you may have.
A slate table comes apart into a frame, a bed in sections and a set of rails, and in a rowhouse every one of those pieces has to go up a straight flight with a wall on each side and no landing anywhere on it. There is nothing to pivot around and nowhere to set a piece down halfway. Whatever goes up that flight has to go up it in one continuous carry, held at an angle that the width allows.
That is why a three piece bed and a one piece slate are completely different jobs in this city. Three sections are manageable. A single slab of slate cannot be turned at the top of a rowhouse stair, and no amount of care or extra hands changes the geometry of a corridor.
The basement is often the more sensible destination, and it brings its own question: whether the way in is the internal stair or a hatch from the pavement, because those are two very different routes and only one of them avoids the house entirely.
Moving if the table is changing address, installation if it is staying put, recovering if the cloth has had enough.
Taken apart, carried out, driven over and rebuilt true at the far end.
Assembled, packed level and clothed where it already stands.
Worn cloth off bed and rails, fresh cloth on, slate read while it is open.
Three inputs set the price. The table: size, and one slab or three. The route: the flight and its width, straight or turning, the doorways, the hatch if there is one, and the walk from the front door to wherever a truck can stand. The room: where it lands and what the floor does underneath it.
Kerb space is a line item here, not a footnote. A permit street with no loading bay means a longer carry, and that is work, better known in advance than found on the morning.
Where the flight rules out the room you had in mind, that belongs in the quote conversation, along with the basement or the ground floor, rather than the moment a bed section stops at the top step.
